My name is Maple. Certainly, this isn’t my real name, but it’s the name that everyone accepts me by. It began as a childhood nickname, and it’s only grown over the years. I am a 21 year old College History Major, with a Minor in Canadian Studies and Fine Arts. That means that, yes, I am a theatre brat. I spend more of my time onstage under lights than I do off, and I love every minute of it. I, like many other theatre brats, am actually quite shy outside the setting on the stage. Such a fun polarity. I also have this odd passion for writing, and am in the midst of three separate novels (one of which will get me lynched, ugh).

I live in North Carolina within the US of A, at this moment in time. This is not to say I claim my status as an American. I actually pretty much keep out of American-related things, duck my head, and run. I’d rather blend in with my brothers up North, the Canadians. At this moment, I am in the process of finishing my History Teacher Degree and transferring up to Canada, where I will become a citizen of said dream country. Yes, you read that right. Dream country.

❀ Favourite Hetalia Nation(s) : Canada, America, Russia and Ukraine.
❀ Favourite Hetalia Pairing(s) : My OTP of the series is Russia/America without any question. I love the dynamics, both the dark and the…kinda sweet moments they can have. Otherwise, I support America/Canada, Canada/Ukraine, and maybe UK/US on a forgiving day. I can ship Canada with just about anyone, however (France, Prussia, Russia, Germany, Netherlands… I can find an excuse for them all). He’s a nice bicycle. Beyond Nation/Nation? I –love- shipping Nation/Human/Nation. Trudeau/Canada, America/Amelia Earhart, England/Elizabeth, Vladimir Putin/Russia/Medvedev… I’m an interesting little puppy, I swear.
❀ What drew you to Hetalia? : A friend of mine on LiveJournal was talking about the series and all-but threw it into my face. About the time I found out what it WAS I dove straight in and watched, like, twenty episodes in a row. The webcomic soon followed and…well. I was hooked. I think it’s the history major in me.
❀ Role Playing Experience with Hetalia? : To be honest? Not too much. I began with America, graduated into Canada, and discovered MOST people don't like historically-accurate Canada and would rather have moe-version. I, for one, can't stand the moe one and... Refuse to it, y'know?

Other Things! :
✮ Although I’m not perfect, I understand German pretty well (at least, well enough to hold a conversation outside of the classroom with my teacher, even if it is mostly comprised of insulting one another – But, hey. My German name he gave me was a famous prostitutes name. << It’s what we do). My French is…lacking. So my fiancé fills that gap for me (he’s studying it). My Quebecois? Er. It certainly leaves something to be desired, so forgive Canada if some of his Quebecois…blows.
✮ I do not type in American English. My grammar and spelling is based off European English, meaning “colour”, “favourite”, and “theatre” are not misspelled. Please don’t tell me they are. D:
✮ I got to drive a steam and coal engine for my 21st birthday. Sure, it was at a theme park twenty minutes from my house (check out this site to see the place. Yes, it’s a totally real engine), but it’s been my DREAM for eighteen years.
✮ I absolutely adore Winnie the Pooh. I won the entire collection of books, my calendar is Pooh-themed (Classic Pooh, fyi), I own MOST of the Hundred Acre Wood Plushies (mostly classic, but some new), own EVERY episode of Pooh released on VHS when I was a child, own the movies, and intend to decorate my child’s nursery with Pooh.
✮ Pierre Trudeau is my hero. No questions about it. No, that didn’t affect my application, nor will it affect my play-style for Canada. I own four books (Two are biographies, one is his Memoirs, and one is his selected writings), one six hour documentary (that my fiancé had to suffer through), a poster he made for me, and 20MB of images on my harddrive. He means a lot to me, and I will blither on for hours about him if you’re not careful.
✮ I live on a farm, and have always lived on farms (or close to it) my entire life. As such, I don’t live close enough to town for them to give me high-speed internet, so… I’m on dial-up. Responses may be slow and lag due to THAT fact alone. Plz to be forgiving. D:
✮ My favourite song is "Plus Rien" by Les Cowboys Fringants, and I may use it in reference. A lot.
